2026. A work trip extended with a short holiday to explore this nice city. Very nice views from the Mont Royal and nice Old Montreal. A city with a strong street market culture. There were also excellent restaurants and bars.
Old Montreal and the port area are especially nice near the waterfront. Jean-Talon market is a very large outdoor market worth visiting. The mile end area is full of vintage shops, cafeterias and restaurants. The street/flea market scene is the biggest in whole American continent. Marche D'Antan a bit further away has almost unbelievable collection of vintage and antiques. You could easily pend whole day there just exploring.
Montreal also has quite nice craft beer scene and make sure you also try ice wine and ice cider.
